Interview with entrepreneur Sudheer Kiran

Sudheer Kiran is the Founder and CEO of two start-up companies Digital Vow and Digital ORM. He is a Startup Advisor and an Online Entrepreneur from last several years.

He started his career as a software engineer as he is a Computer Science and Engineering graduate. He quit his job after 3 months and started working as a Digital Marketing Executive with several companies, and running Digital Marketing Consultancy since 2012.

What industry is your company apart of?

Digital Vow and Digital ORM both are Digital Marketing Companies where Digital Vow concentrates on Online Lead generation and Business development services and Digital ORM focuses on only reputation management services.

What void does your company aim to fit in the industry? What gap in the market are you serving?

As digital marketing is changing everyday with new trends and tactics, now digital marketing became the most dynamic and challenging for us.

There are very few companies who promise lead generation instead of rankings and positions. We want to fill that gap here by promising results instead of talking about the amount and duration of our work.

How does your company stand out from competitors in the industry?

Most of the Digital marketing companies coming up with the proposal of Keyword rankings and with some fake promises. There are so many fake companies with fake promises in the industry since digital marketing got the vital role in every business success.

We want to avoid these fake promises by our genuine strategies and direct interaction with our customers. Though we never discuss about rankings and positions with our customers, however we discuss the need of lead generation and reputation management for the success of their business.

What challenges/threats does your industry currently face?

Since the boom of digital marketing there are hundreds of companies have come with fake promises. Business owners getting confused with these kind of proposals and services. Some business owners are not thinking when they’re giving their project to these kind of fake companies. They should think twice before they’re giving their business to any digital marketing agency.

How have you overcome / are planning to overcome these challenges?

Definitely, there are some challenges in every business; in fact, challenges are even more in our industry because we are dealing with real people in virtual world (Internet). I have faced so many challenges when I was working as an employee with other companies.

There is only one situation that our client was disappointed with the results when some keyword rankings have been dropped due Google algorithm update. Anyway he was happy after few days of work that gives him more qualified leads with our strategies.

I have learned a lot from my both failures and successes.

What trends are you currently seeing in your space?

As I told you before, new trends are coming to the industry based on the people mindset and the way they’re shopping online. Now, you can observe people around us that how they’re shopping online and how much they’re spending for their online shopping.

There is huge competition between online shopping websites due to huge demand for online shopping. If I’m not wrong, every super market store is having an e-Commerce website and they want to promote their store to get online sales.

Where do you see your industry heading in the next few years?

As the importance of digital marketing is growing every day, there is a huge competition between digital marketing companies. And the number of start-up companies also increasing very rapidly.

In early days, most of the companies used to outsource their marketing projects. Digital marketing agencies used provide digital marketing services to all MNC companies.

I can promise you that every company will be having their internal digital marketing team within few years.

What have been the most prolific innovations or advances in the industry in the last few years?

Digital marketing trend is almost changed after social media came into picture. This game became even worse after online shopping and online dating websites came into the industry.

Is there a specific person or company that has been an influence on your career in this industry?

Yes, I was influenced by Mr. Neil Patel, the co-founder of Crazy Egg, Hello Bar and KISSmetrics. I look up to him even today. I will be in that position with-in few years.

What do you aim to achieve with your company over the coming year?

I have a very big goal that my company should stand out from all the competitors and become as No 1 in the industry to provide digital marketing and online reputation management services.

As I’m the Founder and having a lot of experience in the same industry, I want to direct my company towards the goal as soon as possible.

How do you think your company will change and influence your industry over the coming year?

We will definitely influence all digital marketing companies to come on our track by leaving traditional tactics and come up with the big deal of lead generation and reputation management services.

What advice can you give to newcomers to your industry, or the startup space in general?

Never work blindly with others suggestions even if that person is a great expert in the industry. Think why you should follow someone suggestions and how it will help to your business.

Stay focused, go after your dreams and keep moving toward your goals.
