Gamers are often the target of information attacks: in Italy alone, in 2013 up to 75,080 attacks were detected by Kaspersky Lab’s experts.
For this reason, and given the company’s commitment to supporting new startups, Kaspersky Lab has established a collaboration agreement with GamePix, a videogames aggregator and distributor. GamePix is also a startup of Luiss EnLabs, a Rome-based incubator which Kaspersky Lab actively supports.
Thanks to cooperation between GamePix and Kaspersky Lab, all users who as from 15 January buy a Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 license on the online store http://store.kaspersky.it/ will get a code number to be used on the website www.gamepix.com that gives them the right to receive 10,000 coins and +50 points-defense for their own character. The website www.gamepix.com offers up to 15,000 videogames users can freely play with by creating their own avatar and challenge each other to conquer the world.
Kaspersky users who benefit from this promotion on www.gamepix.com can also add K for Kaspersky to their avatar, which stands for enhanced defense.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 offers top real-time protection of PCs and all data included against the latest malware attacks. More than new 200,000 malware items are being added every day and it is thus essential for videogamers too, to protect their PC with a steadily updated solution that is at the same time easy to use and does not severely slow down their PC’s performances. By supporting cloud protection against the latest malware threats, working in background, with smart antivirus scanning and small, frequent updates, Kaspersky proactively protects PCs from both known and emerging threats, without any significant impact on your PC’s performances. The innovative antivirus technologies integrated in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 greatly enhance protection for users. The solution also includes the antivirus ZETA Shield technology, which performs in-depth scanning of files and applications being executed on your compute to detect any malware item that may be hiding inside the single components of each program.
“This initiative is part of a wider project Kaspersky Lab has set up to support innovative startups with great potential for growth, thanks to its collaboration with Luiss Enlabs, a startup accelerator. GamePix is in fact one of the startups that has successfully passed the selection process to benefit from the Rome-based incubator’s support”, explains Aldo del Bò, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab.
