Many people have experienced the burnout from working in a high-pressure job, this can lead to exhaustion and stress. But why else should you start jobhunting?
1. Monday mornings fill you with genuine dread
Make no mistake, we ALL hate Monday mornings. Lying in bed all cosy with the alarm insisting it’s time to get up and start the long commute doesn’t make anyone excited about starting work.
2. You regularly throw sickies
How many sickies have you thrown this year? Really, that many? If you’ve got a hangover, really want to enjoy the rare burst of sunshine or just can’t be bothered every now and again then that’s one thing.
3. You’re not reaching your full potential
First, speak with your boss and show an interest in taking on more responsibility. If that doesn’t work then it may be time to take your experience elsewhere.
4. Monster boss alert
Whether they just make your life a misery with overloading you with too much work and overlooking you for promotion through to actual bullying, a bad boss can be a real nightmare for workers.
5. You just want something else
Finding a new job doesn’t have to be because of anything negative. Sometimes, you’ve just reached the end of the road with your current job and feel it’s the right time to move on.
