What Can You Do On A Teton Village Team-building Retreat?

Organizing a summer in Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Teton Village is a wonderful idea for every single person that wants to try something different. This is why we see so many team-building retreats that are now organized in the area. It does not matter if the trip lasts one day or one week. Your entire team can enjoy a lot from biking to hiking, to shopping, live music and incredible Teton Village rentals.

One of the great things of Teton Village is that it has offerings available for practically all ages. You can gain elevation through the gondola or the Aerial Tram, you can climb rope courses, climb walls and explore numerous hiking trails, among many other things.

Why is Teton Village A Great Option For Team-building Retreats?

Teton Village is mostly great because of the various things that you can do. One of the really important things when choosing a very good destination for team-building events is having access to many things that can be done. Flexibility is paramount since different teams have different needs.

If you are interested in flexibility and wonderful views, Teton Village should actually be considered, especially when close to the headquarters of the company organizing the retreat. To make matters even more interesting, so many weekly events take place in Teton. This can simply make the entire experience better. Consider the following and you will surely be surprised.

The Aerial Tram

The Aerial Tram is something you absolutely need to consider when visiting Teton Village. Present in Jackson Hole, this spectacular and quite exciting twelve minute ride will take you up to the Rendezvous Mountain’s 10,450 feet summit. This offers wonderful views of Gros Ventre Mountain Range, Idaho, Tetons and Snake River. You can also follow different hiking trails present there. Make sure that you consider Corbet’s Cabin for refreshments and try the available tandem paraglide flight.

Biking

Biking is a common team-building event. You can rent a quality downhill bike and then take the ski lift at Teewinot to get access to the incredible mountain bike trail system. It is imperative that you test the skills the team has on the green trails first. Just those that are experienced should consider the black and blue trails since they have really steep jumps and banked turns. If you want a different type of experience, you can always choose road bikes.

Hiking

Hiking in Teton Village can be a wonderful experience. The entire team has access to a network of hiking trails that have their difficulty rated. These trails go towards mountain base and you can use them for a round trip of over one hour if this is what you want. Make sure that you arrange the trip in such a way that you have time available at the top. This is because you can organize some extra activities there. At the very least, you need to let colleagues take photographs since they are truly memorable.

Another option available is offered by the Cirque Trail. Trek down it from tram top until Gondola Summit is reached. Once there, enjoy The Deck since it offers an outdoor patio located at high altitude and an outdoor grill menu.

Aerial Adventure Course

This is perfect for every single team out there that is looking for adrenaline. The course is basically a series of nets, suspended ropes, balance beams, ladders and zip lines. After you are harnessed in, you can try different routes that have varying difficulty. The one option that is the highest rated among adrenaline junkies is Drop Tower. It combines free-fall with a controlled decent. For just $40 per person, 3 loops are available.

Climb And Bounce

At the Bridger Gondola base you have access to a climbing wall of 25 feet. It gives you access to different challenging routes for both adults and kids. While it is not actually Grand Teton, it is a wonderful fun training opportunity. Once there, you can consider the bungee trampoline since it allows you to jump as high as 24 feet.

Disc Golf

This is a rather rare experience as the entire team can play golf with frisbees. You can bring your very own disc golf set but it is also possible to buy one locally. What is particularly special here is the 18-hole course since it is elaborate. You start out really short and then you move up to highly-technical areas that involve trees and tunnels. After this you go back and forward to Gros Ventre and Tramline. The best thing about it is that the experience is completely free.

Free Events

At Village Commons you can participate in Alive@5 events that are completely free. These are held from Tuesday to Friday, in the months and July and August. During Tuesdays you can enjoy storytelling with some live animals, you can meet birds of prey during Wednesday, enjoy local bands on Thursday and Fridays are reserved for special Wild Things of Wyoming presentations.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, Teton Village gives you access to different great team-building opportunities. It is definitely something that you want to consider if it is possible based on budget and what the team desires, of course. Make sure that you book ahead since the best villas and resorts are normally in high demand. Be sure that you ask for potential group discounts that might be available. These are now present at various resorts.
