What is the Business Wall of Fame Contest?
Deutsche Telekom have created a contest to find the best entrepreneurial app ideas for businesses from around Europe. Business apps from all industries that simplify workflow or help small to mid-sized businesses are welcome to enter. How does the Business Wall of Fame contest work?
To apply, you must fill out the registration form on the contest pages and register their app along with a description of how it will help entrepreneurs and their employees at work.
Further more to help persuade voters, they can upload a video, pictures, and a description of app features and benefits.
Business Wall of Fame contest has three winning categories:
Best national app
Best international app
Best startup.
Participants will only reach the finals if enough entrepreneurs liked their app idea and voted for it. Participants can increase their number of votes and chances of winning by being active with their community. Voters just need to describe how exactly it will help them do a better job. By sharing the app idea with others. By doing so participants can gain traction to their competition entry and get more voters
Who can participate?
From individuals to small startups, any independent app developers or software companies that create their own software for commercial purposes can take part in the contest with a maximum of five app submissions.
Any startups, or a software developer (is defined as being a registered company) founded after Jan 1, 2013 can participate.
What kind of apps can participate?
Apps created for small and mid-sized business customers (business with 1 to 250 employees). The app should either be a web-based app (browser based) or a native application for desktop, mobile phone, or tablet that provides online service for customers.
The application data must be stored in a cloud infrastructure, but data may be cached locally. The app has to be at least in its production phase, meaning it can be used in testing environment at the moment of signing up for the contest and set to launch for sale before September 30, 2014.
What can I win as an app developer (ISV)?
The best national app can become national Cloud Partner and reach over 200,000 SMB customers by Deutsche Telekom. There is also the opportunity to win a marketing campaign worth €30,000. The winning international app can become Cloud Partner of Deutsche Telekom and reach up to 1.3 million entrepreneurs as well as a trip to T-Lab Berlin, featuring innovation showcases and possible cooperation deals.
The selected Best Startup can win funding of up to €80,000 for app development in cooperation with Incubator hub:raum Krakow as well as an invitation to the “Long Night of Startups” from T-Labs – Berlin’s key startup event.
